St. Luke’s Supper Club is a fun way to get to know other St. Luke people in a casual setting.
Everyone who signs up for Supper Club will be put in groups of 6-7. Your group will commit to have three meals with each other between mid-October and the end of March. Each couple or pair of individuals is encouraged to host a meal in their home (for pairs, just choose one home). When you are the host, you provide the whole meal. If scheduling is too complicated, you can meet at a restaurant and the hosting pair buys the first round of drinks and the appetizers.
THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION IN GOURMET COOKING OR IMMACULATE HOUSE CLEANING! The goal of these groups is to have a relaxed time of conversation. You can do anything from salmon on the grill to pork and beans and hot dogs, take-out lasagna, or soup. Every meal should be fun and not meant to stress out the hosts.
Each meal should last around 2 hours. This is not an evening of food and entertainment. It is a time of fellowship and conversation with food.
Couples will be kept together, but participants do not need to be part of a couple. (So groups could be three couples or a combination of couples and individuals.)
To sign up by Monday, September 30, contact the Church Office at: churchoffice@stlukeumc.com
ALSO NOTE: For everyone who signs up, we will have a kick-off potluck on Sunday, October 6 at 5:30 p.m. in St. Luke’s Cafeteria (use lower canopy door). At the potluck, the groups will be announced, and it will then be the responsibility of the group members to schedule their meals.
