Teen Center Mission Statement:

To maximize the potential of youth within our community through the development of positive relationships, motivation for academic success, and safe environments.

St. Luke is an Adopt-a-School partner with Harry A. Burke High School.  In cooperation with Burke, St. Luke opened the Teen Center as an afterschool program in 2007.

Membership requirements include completing the application packet and paying a $10 annual membership fee.

The Teen Center is open Monday through Thursday, 2:50-6:00 PM:

  • 2:50-3:50    Power Hour Study Time:  We have tutors available to students as well as an Academic Incentive Program.  A small snack is provided upon arrival.
  • 4:00-6:00     Recreation, Speakers, Crafts, and Games:  A few examples are African dance, self-defense, basketball pick-up games, holiday crafts and parties, and much more.

The Teen Center is located at St. Luke United Methodist Church but does not teach or emphasize religion.
